Sorel Cumberland is fantastic
I bought the Sorel Cumberland boots form Amazon just over a week ago. I live in New Zealand and spend as much time in the snow in winter as possible.
Firstly the delivery was fantastic. The boots went through 3 different countries before they got here and the whole process only took 5 days!
Secondly, the boots look great and are incredibly warm and comfortable. I was a little worrried about getting the size correct, but went to the Sorel website, measured my feet and worked out from the sizing graph which size to get. The fit is perfect.

Dr. Martens is the stuff of legends. It all began near Munich, Germany in 1945 when Dr. Klaus Maertens injured his foot in a skiing accident in the Bavarian Alps. To make walking easier during the healing process, he designed a shoe with an air-cushioned sole. Using old rubber tires, he constructed soles that had air trapped within closed compartments. He showed his prototype to his engineer/inventor friend, Dr. Herbert Funck, and together they decided to develop and produce the shoes. Not only did the shoe solve the doctor's immediate problem, but it also started to sell well in Germany. By 1959 the two decided that they needed a company to produce and distribute the shoes, then called Dr. Maertens, in other parts of the world. At first, many manufacturers rejected the concept of an air cushioned sole as a short-lived gimmick. However, the R. Griggs Group, located in the village of Wollaston in England, decided to go along with the idea by creating the first work boot with the revolutionary sole. On the first of April 1960, the first cherry red eight-eyelet work boot was produced and named 1460 (1/4/60). To sell the brand name better in England, the name was anglicized to Dr. Martens. The range was branded AirWair and the rest is history.

NOT FOR WORK!!
Yes they have a steal toe but they have a tag on them that reads
"IMPORTANT WARNING
Theae shoes (boots) have been designed and manufactured as, and, for use as FASHION FOOTWEAR ONLY. They are not for use as safety footwear, and should not under any circumstances be worn as safety footwear. .."
A warning is also stitched into the inside of the boot near the heal that reads "NON-SAFTY FOOTEAR"
I am a little let down that this fact is not listed in the products description. The reason I purchased these boots for work and they do not meet the required safety standard.

Docs
The other reviews were right--Docs are not as comfortable as they were back when I wore them in high school. The leather looks cheaper, and it's taking longer to break them in.

Privo Luke boots are extremely comfortable, keep your feet warm but not "hot". They feel like slippers when your wearing them and I think they are the most comfortable shoes I have owned. One problem with these adorable boots - NO TRACTION. But in dry weather or on non-icy conditions they are wonderful. I wear mine at work for a 12-14 hour shift and my feet are still feeling good when I get home. I am now buying another pair!! CUTE,CUTE,CUTE!!!! And soooooo Comfortable.

Great boots!
First and foremost, the shipment on these boots was amazing! I ordered these on a Thursday, and they arrived 2 days later! I had my last sorel boots for 18 years (no joke), and they only gave out on me the last few years. So, to me, there is no other brand. Excellent Fit
I've never had a pair of boots fit as good as these do. It's great to finally find a good looking womens boot that fits perfectly to a womans foot. They look great and hug the foot nicely. It will be hard to wear these out. After trying them on it was easy to ignore the price tag...well worth the money.

Great pair of hikers.

Great fit right out of the box!
I love Merrell's shoes. These are the third pair that I have bought within the last year. I have Merrell clogs, Merrell Overdrive running shoes (that I use for walking), and now these - the Merrell Siren. I am a year and a half into healing an ankle / ligament injury and at this point the Merrell's are the best for fit and comfort right out of the box. They give great support and really give my feet a feeling of security and protection without being heavy. Great foot bed. Very comfortable.

Shoe Buy service
As for the shoe, they were a birthday gift for my son. They are his third pair so I know he likes them. As for Shoebuy, Amazon's supplier, the service was terrible. They sent the wrong shoe, then he had to wait three weeks for a return label. (That is what is meant by free returns.) Shoebuy sent me an email saying the item was no longer in stock; my charge card credited. However, the website indicated they still had a limited supply. I ordered by phone this time. I know all the information was correct because I had a confirming email. After about 10 days and son had not received shoe, I checked the shipping status which said the shoe could not be delivered because there was no name! So my son had to drive to the UPS warehouse to get his shoes. So it took about five weeks from the original birthday order. Very frustrating.

Great, cozy boot, only one drawback
I really like my Kayas - I've used them for several-hour snowshoeing trips as well as just shoveling snow and playing around during weekends in Tahoe and Mt. Shasta. They're really cute and cozy.

Just one complaint - the little piece of leather on the back of the boot that helps you pull the boot on has broken on both of my boots. It's still attached on one side but the stitching ripped on the other. Still usable, but somewhat annoying.

Love this boot!
I bought a couple pairs of boots online to see which fit the best, and this was it. While I really liked the other pairs, this one was the most comfortable and it has proven to be plenty warm during this increasingly cold Chicago winter. After going many years without boots, I'm so glad I have this pair to trek through the snowy streets!

Two Words...and a few more
WARM. DRY.

Nevermind the fact that walking in these boots is much like walking on a cloud.

Simply, some of the best money I have spent on footwear.

Great boots!
I absolutely LOVE these boots! These are the most comfortable pair of boots I've owned. Fit great! They're wonderful! Also very stylish. :)

Fit like 2nd skin, and that's a bad thing!
The leather is just too stiff not to allow an extra little bit of leather so your feet and ankles don't feel strangled! They're a street boot cut like a soft leather dress boot. If you wear an 11, you're (I'm) out of luck. If you're skinny they'll prob be ok. Other folks order up, though they might then be too long, as the length is right.
